Watch this page for registration details and, when it opens, the registration link. We expect the registration link to be available on the bottom of this page on or about February 1st! We will close registration on Feb 18th. Please make sure you read this information carefully and do not hesitate to reach out to the team with any questions.

Spring season will run several weeks, starting February 23, 2022, with a MANDATORY Team Information/Safety meeting. Registration fees will include 8 weeks of shooting. There will also be several weeks of optional practices with the fees not included in this registration - details are available on our team website. 

Who: 
Any Spring Lake Park School District male or female student, grades 7-12, who possess a State Firearm Training Certificate AND meets all school curricular eligibility requirements.

Also, to be eligible to participate on the Spring Lake Park Clay Target Team, you must meet one of the two following requirements:

1. Be attending the Spring Lake Park High School or Westwood Middle School.
OR
2. The school you are attending does not have a Clay Target Team AND your home address is within the Spring Lake Park School District 16 boundary.

Uniforms:
We have an important announcement regarding uniforms this year. We are excited to share that we are using a new vendor and will have a different style than we have had in the past. It will be extremely important that you measure your athletes for proper sizing - returns due to incorrect size will not be allowed. Watch for more details on Uniforms.

Rates Overall:
The overall cost of each sport is:
Trap: $152 (plus small processing fee)
Skeet: $152 (plus small processing fee)
5-Stand: $172 (plus small processing fee)
*Athletes must also pay a once per season team fee of $18.
*Due to a generous donation, the league fees of $35/Athlete/Sport will be covered this year!

Trap Rates:
1.) $152.00 (plus processing fee) due at the time of registration. Fee will cover shooting range fees and the use of a team shooting vest to be turned in at the end of the season.
2.) Cost of 16+ boxes (25 rounds each) factory ammunition, estimated at $100 - $200 (out of pocket for student, not due at registration).
3.) Student must provide own shotgun, shells, shell pouch (optional), and eyes/ears protection.

Skeet Rates:
1.) $152.00 (plus processing fee) due at the time of registration. Fee will cover shooting range fees and the use of a team shooting vest to be turned in at the end of the season.
2.) Cost of 16+ boxes (25 rounds each) factory ammunition, estimated at $100 - $200 (out of pocket for student, not due at registration).
3.) Student must provide own shotgun, shells, shell pouch (optional), and eyes/ears protection.

5-Stand Rates:
1.) $172.00 (plus processing fee) due at time of registration. Fee will cover shooting range fees and the use of a team shooting vest to be turned in at the end of the season.
2.) Cost of 20+ boxes (25 rounds each) factory ammunition, estimated at $150 - $250 (out of pocket for student, not due at registration).
3.) Student must provide own shotgun, shells, shell pouch (optional), and eyes/ears protection.

Ammo:
The team did an ammo order and expect it to be delivered anytime between now and March. Depending on our Spring enrollment, we expect to have enough ammo for the Spring season. We will share more details as we get them!

This year we will be shooting over three evenings. Tuesdays will be Skeet, Wednesdays will be Trap, and Thursdays will be 5-Stand. Depending on enrollments, our approximate start times will be 6:00 at Metro Gun Club.

Once you get through the team registration, you will be added to our roster with the USA Clay Target League. Once you are added you will receive an email from USA Clay Target with a link to register. This registration also needs to be completed before participating. Due to a generous donation to the team, the $35 per sport registration fee will be paid by the team.
